Medicare Part D Notice Due March 31, 2006

Employers with health plans that provide prescription drug coverage to anyone who is Medicare eligible (including active employees, retirees and dependents who have attained age 65 or are disabled) must notify the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) annually to disclose the “creditable” or “non-creditable” status of their plan(s).  The first such notice is due March 31, 2006 and can be filed electronically on the form on the following CMS site:         http://www.cms.hhs.gov/apps/ccdisclosure/default.asp
